This house was very choppy and closed off. We removed the wall dividing the kitchen and living room to open up the floor plan. By removing the kitchen wall, we were able to add a huge window in the kitchen to let more natural light in. In the living room, we cut the brick on the fireplace and painted it white. By cutting back the fireplace, we were able to create a highly desired first floor laundry room.

We left the master bedroom the same, but we combined the hall bath and the master bath together to create a huge master bathroom with a  separate shower and tub. The other three bedrooms on the first floor were left untouched; the only change being new carpet, new paint and new ceiling fans in each room. We were able to create a second full bathroom in the hallway by taking away some square footage in the formal dining room in the front of the house. This bathroom has a double sink vanity and a tub/shower combo. In the basement, we created another full bathroom and a bedroom with door leading to the outside. The floor plan of the basement was left the same; Milestone re-painted the walls, ceiling and adding new carpet.

Overall this project was a huge success. Tina Schaffer from Coldwell-Gundaker was able to sell this house (before construction was complete) using just the renderings our in-house architect did.
